The Tregondale
Pedigree South Devon Herd
Welcome to the Tregondale Herd of
prize winning South Devons.
We are a family run
farm at Tregondale, Menheniot, in South East
Cornwall. Situated in an attractive valley
close to Liskeard we farm 290 acres.
Keeping 80 Pedigree
South Devon suckler cows, they are renowned
for their docility and make good milky dams.
Calving mainly in the spring.
ABRI recorded, Health
Scheme assured, DNA and Myostatin tested,
electronic tagging system for recording.
We produce

Prime Beef, South Devons are
an excellent forage convertor into meat
achieving 380+ Kilos at 18 months.

Pedigree Breeding Heifers,
with excellent maternal ability ensuring
fast growth and longevity with consistant
breeding, converting grass to milk.

Quality Breeding Bulls, which
are hardy and suitable as a terminal sire.
Also, 50 purebred Devon
and Cornwall Longwool ewes, we pedigree
register the ewes and 100 longwool x Suffolk
ewes lambing in February. Lambs are sold
through CQLP.
Tregondale is a
traditionally run farm growing our own
cereals and crops we try to be as self
sufficient as we can to maintain rotation of
our pastures.
Our main interest and
pride is studying the breeding of our cattle
for natural fleshing, size and ease of
calving and also enjoy showing our cattle at
agricultural shows.
